Red Seven represents something of a homecoming for Wolfgang, as West Hollywood was the location of his first restaurant, the original Spago. The name Red Seven conjures many associations for him: “It is my seventh restaurant to open in LA, Seven is a lucky number and it’s the year 2007." The color red itself, of traditional significance in Asian cultures, also relates to the vivid new, red-glass RedBuilding under construction soon at PDC.
The award-winning designer of Red Seven, Martin Vahtra, took his inspiration from the wealth of art and design filling PDC’s design showrooms, and the flavor of its creative location is woven through every aspect of the Red Seven concept. |
