World-renowned chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck, announced today the appointment of Stephanie Edens as regional director of catering at Wolfgang Puck Catering (WPC). As regional director of catering, Edens will focus on business development throughout Los Angeles, including off-premise catering, studios, weddings and other social and corporate business. Edens will promote the company’s strong western region: Los Angeles, San Francisco and La Jolla, Calif., including high-profile venues such as Sony Pictures, Armand Hammer Museum, Pacific Design Center and La Jolla Playhouse, among others.

Previously, Edens was president and founder of elements, a full-service creative event agency specializing in corporate event planning. As president, she handled all aspects of the business including branding, sales, financial reporting and client relations for powerhouse companies such as Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Animation, The James Beard Foundation, Variety, Wendy’s International, Inc. and many others.
Prior to launching her own events firm, Edens spent a decade with Joachim Splichal’s The Patina Group. Throughout her tenure, Edens led the then-fledgling catering division, increasing off-premise catering revenue by six fold. Edens joined Patina Catering in 1995 as partner and director of catering and quickly rose through the ranks to become Vice President of Catering and Special Events, where she played a vital role in the overall growth of The Patina Group.
At The Patina Group, Edens led a team of more than 20 catering and special events managers coordinating events at venues such as the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall, while still maintaining day-to-day direction of the catering division and working directly with clients on special event details. Edens was also responsible for developing sales and marketing plans to generate new business, identify market segments, launch new product lines and promotions and was an executive committee member responsible for directing company group sales efforts.
Other career highlights include special events positions at Party Planners West, Inc. and special events, catering and foodservice positions at DC3 restaurant in Santa Monica, Calif., Marriott Corporation’s Business Food Service Division and Hyatt Hotels. Edens earned a bachelor of science degree in Dietetics and Food Administration from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. She lives in South Pasadena, Calif. with her husband and two children.
